Minority Business Expo
The Business Expo is a business networking event hosted by Madison County (MS) Alumnae Chapter in partnership with the Madison County WIN Job Center. The event offers new and established business owners opportunities to engage with potential customers and to showcase their products and services. The Business Expo also includes seminars and special guest speakers who provide valuable information to prospective entrepreneurs on topics such as identifying new business opportunities and growing small business entities.
The chapter hosts free seminars with other community partners, like BancorpSouth, to promote awareness of the general public on financial issues such as home foreclosure, money savings and management, financial bailouts, and establishing and financing small businesses in local communities.
Winter Benefit Gala
Madison County (MS) Alumnae Chapter has partnered with the Epsilon Kappa Kappa Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., and Uplift Incorporated (501c3) to coordinate and host the Winter Benefit Gala. The gala is designed to recognize the contributions of and provide financial support to local organizations that offer services to residents of Madison County. The 2011 gala benefitted the Jackson Metro Salvation Army through a $2,000 donation. The Salvation Army is committed to providing social services to communities throughout the world. The Jackson Metro service center has provided relief for poverty and hunger and promoted the welfare for persons in and around Madison County.
Over 170 guests attended the 2011 gala. The 2012 Winter Benefit Gala will be held on Friday, December 28, 2012 at Plantation Commons in Madison, MS. We request support from other community leaders as corporate sponsors for the gala, which is a signature event for Madison County. The funds directly support the recipient organization and provide funds for ongoing public service programs presented by each of the host organizations.
