It is my pleasure to welcome you to our website – the place where you can find official information on the Madison County (MS) Alumnae Chapter (MCAC) of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated and learn how you can join us in our goal to positively impact lives in our community.
Madison County (MS) Alumnae Chapter is building a legacy of enduring and effective public service through programs that map directly to Delta Sigma Theta’s Five Point Programmatic Thrust – Economic Development, Educational Development, International Awareness and Involvement, Physical and Mental Health, and Political Awareness and Involvement. I encourage you to explore the website to learn more about specific projects being implemented in each area. Our ultimate goal is to facilitate the success of Delta’s global initiatives by creating local impact.
During the 2017-2018 sororal year, MCAC is excited to present a robust schedule of programs and events, that are community-focused and undergirded with effective community partnerships. From community wellness programs such as “Let’s go walking with the Deltas”, educational and youth initiatives such as Delta Academy and Delta GEMS, international support provided via “Little Dresses for Africa” and “Soles for Souls”, economic and financial fortitude programs related to small business promotion and fraud prevention, and policy symposiums that engage citizens in the political process, MCAC is providing numerous opportunities for our community to increase awareness and involvement, as well as receive much-needed services to aid in their holistic betterment. Program participants can expect to take advantage of innovative, relevant, professional, and personal curriculum, activities and projects that will inspire them to achieve more, to advance their knowledge, and to expand their expectations for the future.
Our chapter, of over 150 members, is always looking for ways to do more and to boost our collective efficacy. We recognize that we can achieve greater success through partnerships and collaborations. So, if you have identified a need in our community, if you have an idea for a program, or if you have an opportunity to support meaningful and proven community service projects via community investment funds/grants, please contact us or contact me at email@example.com.
We’re excited about this year! As we move into our 10th year of service in Madison County, we expect great things. We are glad you’ve taken time to visit our website and learn more about MCAC and how you can help us transform lives in Madison County.
